Reynolds Kitchens® Tips

Reynolds Kitchens tip

Make this sweet dessert in your slow cooker for easy baking. Lining your slow cooker with a Slow Cooker Liner will let you skip cleanup and go right in for a second serving.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2-3 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 3 cups berries
  • 1 2/3 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 2/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 egg, beaten

Step 1

In a medium saucepan stir sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice and butter into berries and simmer over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, well blended and juicy. Stir constantly to prevent burning.

Step 2

Combine remaining dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.

Step 3

In microwave, melt 1/2-cup butter and stir into milk, then add beaten egg. Add to dry mixture and stir until crumbly.

Step 4

Line slow cooker with a Reynolds® Slow Cooker Liner and pour berries into the liner.

Step 5

Sprinkle topping mixture over berries and cook on high for 2-3 hours.

Step 6

Serve with ice cream or whipped topping.
