Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups of fresh blackberries
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 2 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups of rolled oats
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 1/2 sticks of chilled butter cut into chunks
- 1 1/2 cups of whole milk
- 1 Reynolds Kitchens® 8x8 Dessert Pan
Directions
Step 1
PREHEAT oven to 350°.
Step 2
MIX the blackberries in a large bowl along with the lemon juice and ½ cup of sugar until combined and pour it into a Reynolds Kitchens® 8x8 Dessert Pan.
Step 3
WHISK the flour, oats, baking powder, and brown sugar in a large bowl and cut in the butter using a pastry knife. (Alternate: place the flour, oats, baking powder, brown sugar, and butter into a food processer and pulse until the butter is the size of rice.)
Step 4
MIX in the milk until just combined.
Step 5
POUR the batter on top of the blackberries and bake in the oven for 35 minutes.
Step 6
SERVE the cobbler hot.
