Can I Put Parchment Paper in the Air Fryer?

Yes. You can use parchment paper in an air fryer if you use it correctly. For the best results, choose Reynolds Kitchens® Unbleached Parchment Air Fryer Liners. They're pre-cut to fit most air fryer baskets, feature a non-stick surface for easy food release, are heat-safe up to 400°F, and have ¼-inch holes that help hot air circulate for crispy, evenly cooked food. Always preheat the air fryer, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, before placing the liner and food in the air fryer. The liners should not be used in rectangular/toaster oven-style air fryers.

Never use a parchment liner by itself, as it can be lifted by the circulating air and come into contact with the heating element, which is a fire hazard. Only place the liner in the air fryer after it has been preheated. Always place food on top of the liner before use.

Can you use regular parchment paper sheets in an air fryer?

Yes, regular parchment paper can be used in some air fryers if it's cut to fit the basket and securely weighed down with food. However, it isn't the best choice because it can block airflow, shift during cooking, or require trimming. Reynolds Kitchens® Unbleached Parchment Air Fryer Liners are designed specifically for air fryers, with a pre-cut shape and perforations that help hot air circulate for crispy, even cooking.

For safe use, always follow your air fryer manufacturer's instructions and the directions on the parchment paper packaging.

When should you not put parchment paper in an air fryer?

Avoid using parchment paper in an air fryer when:
•    The parchment is not weighed down by food.
•    The liner touches or gets close to the heating element.
•    The air fryer is set above the liner’s recommended temperature.
•    Your air fryer manufacturer says not to use parchment paper liners.
•    Your air fryer is a rectangular or toaster oven style air fryer
