Sara Forte discovered a love for whole foods when she volunteered at an organic farm while working toward her English degree at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. The interest eventually led to a food journal of her own, Sprouted Kitchen, which she produces with her husband, Hugh. Together they have published two cookbooks and continue to do freelance work. Her work is featured in InStyle, Better Homes and Gardens, Sunset, Fine Cooking, Rachel Ray, Oprah and Food & Wine, among others. The blog has been recognized by Saveur for Best Food Photography and Best Food Blog.
